Our actions are a reflection of our thought processes. Our actions are an expression of what is really going on in our hearts. The real me will come to the surface eventually. We must study the word and pray and worship in private if we want to do the same in public, otherwise we become double minded. Its all about what we do in private. David was worshiping and praying in private, so when the attacks came, he knew how to battle against them. 3 main points are made: 1-God's Anointing- Public power on a person who is anointed only comes from surrendering to God in private. What we do in public is a direct connect to what we do in private. when you practice God's word in private, this ensures public success.Point 2.What you practice in private is what eventually shows up in public Point 3- When you practice in private you will have confidence and assurance, read 1 Sam 17:38-39, 45 When you spend time with God He will give you an armor specifically for you and your strengths. When God created you He created an unique person in you.(Jer 1:5) Everyone has an unique fingerprint. God gives you a special armor designed only for you, so when its time to do battle, God gives you your own unique armor. David spend time practicing the slingshot in private, and perfected the use of that weapon, so when it was time to come up against Goliath, David could not use Saul's heavy armor, he had to use the weapon he had perfected his skill on, the slingshot. Don't try to defeat an enemy in a spiritual battle with fleshly weapons. We must use spiritual weapons to fight spiritual battles. God's word is the only way we can defeat the enemy. What scriptures do you have ready to defeat the enemy when he attacks? What scriptures do you have that you practice and declare in private so that when the battle comes you are ready to declare these scriptures and go forward in battle? David was an adolescent who was able to come forth and defeat Goliath, when all the adult soldiers were hiding in fear, so its not about age, its all about preparation. Are you preparing for the battle in private so that when its time to battle you are ready and armed with the word of God? Jesus was able to rebuke and battle against the devil with the word of God when the devil tried to tempt him. David submitted to God in private and communed with God. David killed a bear, he killed a lion, he practiced the slingshot, all by the power of God. So when it was time to fight Goliath, David knew what to do. Remember: 3 points today. 1-God's anointing on your life creates public power. 2- You will have public display of what you practice in private. 3-Practice confidence and assurance in God's word . What you practice in private with the Lord, you will have in public when it is needed. Be with God, In God and of God. Practice and grow in the word in private, so you will be strong in the Lord in public. If you are not born again into the kingdom of God, today is the day to allow Jesus into your heart to become your Lord and Savior.
